Common gull

Charadriiformes | Laridae | Gulls, terns, skimmers

An elegant gull, smaller, neater and more gentle-looking than the Herring Gull, that is typically seen foraging in flocks on fields or loafing on beaches.

Resembling a small Herring Gull, the Common Gull is a less familiar bird and certainly not the most common gull in many parts of Europe.

Seen year round.
